Fall Fun - Art and Creative Classes

Flexible Fall Schedules...
1 1/2 hours of instruction for children, ages 3-5, or 5-15... and Adults too!
age appropriate lessons, mediums and skill building projects that encourage the students to explore their creativity.

For Children, ages 5 - 15, Develop confidence with a variety of mediums, or gain skill with a particular art style... we will explore the talents you possess and have some fun along the way....

For the little ones... we engage in tactile processing, cutting, molding, shaping, and familiarizing with hands on materials... glue, paint, wood, glitter, and a whole lot of giggles too. Basic art techniques, introduction to drawing, shape recognition, and color mixing are explored.

Adult lessons are structured for the individual student... to learn, explore and enhance your own knowledge of art, and expand and practice new techniques.

Each lesson is tailored to your personal needs.

Schedules are flexible to meet your calendar.

Drawing Sessions for August!!!!

Wednesday Mornings:

August 5th: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

August 12th: 10:00 - 12:00 noon


I am testing out some new teaching methods over the next few weeks. Your children will get 2 hours of instructed drawing time which includes a lesson, and time to put the lesson into practice and bring the artwork home with them the same day.

Los Angeles Zoo - Sketch Day with the Kids...

I took 3 of my students on a sketch day at the Los Angeles Zoo today.Christina sketches the Great TortoiseSketch of a Tortoise by Jordan - Age 9

and enjoyed drawing this cute little chimpanzee... he was an emotional little guy...

Feel the Paint Between your Fingers

Painting can be such a tactile experience. I encourage my young artists to experiment with textures and explore how things feel. This creates wonderful conversations about how things feel: hot, cold, squishy, slimy, scratchy. Here Fiona and David are learning about warm and cool color combination's. They titled their combined work "an explosion at a chocolate factory"... It may be fun and messy, but it is the perfect way for them to explore the materials.

Butterfly Art Studio - Monday Afternoons in July

Butterfly Art Studio: Girl ages 3 - 7 .... Play based art instruction geared towards little girls. Beads and Bubbles and Butterflies... and so much more. Parents are welcome to participate and watch the girls play and learn. (a craft, some playtime, and splash zone... please have children dress to "play"... and if it is hot, put a swimsuit on under clothes... we may get wet)

Monday Afternoons: 1 - 3 p.m. in July.
2 hour sessions / $30 ($50 for 2 sessions)



Cute and Colorful Critters: Mommy & Me art projects for Pre-K -school children. (Boys and Girls ages 4 - 6) Parent involvment encouraged. Witness children's artistic ability, and show parents that it's okay for kids to get paint on their fingernails. / $25 per session ($45 for 2 sessions)

Paper Mache Madness & Plaster

8 hours (4 2-hour sessions)… hours to be arranged.

Learn to make glue, select sculpture subject matter, and create these three dimensional works of art.

Useful objects: Pencil holders, bowls, vases, and trashcans

Artful objects: Masks, Abstract Shapes, Wall Hangings and Halloween Costumes.... Jewellry????
